On The Vine Batch 2: This time we married Riesling grape juice with a combination of zesty Motueka hops and bright coconut-forward Sabro hops. We think this one tastes like a white sangria with a twist of lime and a splash of coconut water. Fun and refreshing.

Thanks to FBarber for this interesting take on an IPA.
Pretty. Strong foam. Decent retention. Lite lacing.
Nose is a slightly herbal/tropical note that also has a citrus hint. And a mild dry white wine note. Mild sweet malt.
Taste. Now this is where I don't get this IPA. Ok, so they are going for a white wine note, I get it. But I guess I'm biased. Why a wine note? Not floating my boat. It starts as a mildly tropical, citrus, slightly sweet note. But the Riesling juice gives it a confusing sweet/dry note that just seems to come into the party roughly.
Mouthfeel is slightly fluffy, a tad sticky, active carbonation.
Overall, pretty, smells ok, taste is meh, mouthfeel is pretty solid. But I'm one and done.

This isn't what I expected. I was a little afraid that I was going to get a can of carbonated wine. But his was actually a beer with a touch of wine flavor. I didn't get much coconut but definite got some of the grape and Riesling flavor. I split this with someone and I'm glad I did. It wasn't bad but I don't think I could drink a full one.

Cloudy, looks like orange juice, very little foam and lacing.
Citrusy smelling, definite wine presence, bit of “sticky” sweetness, slight malty bitterness.
And right in the middle of the review, I knocked the fucking beer over. And it didn’t just spill, it fucking splattered everywhere. It’s all over the bar, it’s on the side of the bar, it is spread out on the floor, it is in the middle of the Lego set I was building. Shit, it made it onto my stereo and records, I think.
I have spent the last 10 minutes or so cleaning it, and I have a feeling that my wife is going to take one step down here and ask me what the fuck happened. Because between the floor that I cannot get the stickiness off of and the malt smell, it could not be more evident if I was driving the car that Jules shot the guy in the head in Pulp Fiction.
It was a beertastrophe.
Anyways, this beer tastes great and has a very complex feel. It’s got plenty of juicy citrusness, a mild bitterness, and the wine brings a crisp light drinkability to it. Dry finish, slightly medium body, and a subtly disguised alcohol presence.
Really well done.
Just don’t knock the fucking thing over like I did, and you might enjoy it more.

Released 6/17/20; drank 6/21/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small, bubbly off-white head; frothy lace.
Dry white grape, mild caramel, faint clove & faint wheat notes in the nose.
Sticky, medium mouthfeel.
Dry white grape, mild booze heat & faint wheat flavors up front; faint caramel notes on the finish.
This was more harsh than the first iteration; drinkable, but not an improvement of the Sauvignon Blanc varietal.
