Terpasaurus, a close relative of Herbasaurus, our dank west coast IPA that's hopped with Eureka, Apollo, Simcoe, Columbus, and Centennial, except in Terpasaurus we hit it with Abstrax Pineapple Express terpenes to amplify all that sticky icky dankness with a tropical, resinous edge. Snag some before it goes extinct.

Do you like marijuana? Do you like that medication your mom put on your fever blister when you were a kid called Campho Phenique? Well, if so, mix them together and you get Terpasaurus. Drain pour.

16oz can. Immediately upon opening, the strong dank aroma was present. But it’s indirect. Hard to smell in the can or the glass, but really apparent. Definitely offputting. Quite weird aroma for a beer. Taste was decent, hoppy and all, but the ever present skunkweed aroma was just too much. Everything else was fine, but this is supposed to be a beer, not a guilt trip.

No canning date

Appearance: Pours a mostly clear, medium golden color with a large white head that lingers. SRM of 8. (4.25)

Aroma: Strong aromas of bright pine with some citrus notes upfront. A definite terpene aroma of pineapple express. (3.50)

Flavor: Strong flavors of bright lemon and pine upfront. Quickly turns into a dank terpene of dank cannabis, pine, and pineapple express notes. Some dank pine lingers along with the definite pineapple. (3.50)

Feel: Medium-body, strong carbonation. Dank, leans sweeter. (3.75)

Overall: A dank and terpene focused cannabis and pineapple express flavored DIPA. Somewhat resinous and bright pine and lemon hop flavors are overshadowed by the dank terpenes here. Not traditional west-coast style and unless you like cannabis and pineapple express terpene infused beer flavors, I'd steer clear from this. (Rating: 3.57)

Blind tasting, courtesy of FBarber, sent in NBS BIF #17

16 oz can poured into my Creature Comforts Becher glass. Nearly see through, golden hued, and active. A steady stream of minuscule bubbles are constant contributors to the bountiful, fluffy white head. Great retention with lots of clumpy lacing.
Nose is a mix of pine needles, green grass, undertones of green onions, light dank, and maybe hints of bubblegum and/or blueberries.
The flavor is less piney, and more weed and grass leaning. Not too strong and a bit on the dry and bitter side.
So I'm guessing IPA. Will sip a tad more.

Reveal and thoughts

Well this is another Phase Three offering.
Terpasaurus a DIPA with terpenes.

So I'm wondering if the terpenes added a bit of that bright berry note that coupled with the light dankness. Pretty good stuff.
