Kinda light tasting for a Scotch Ale but a nice ABV

On draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. The color is a dark, muddy iced tea with orange hues, and a thin, ecru-colored cap with modest lacing. Served cold, its nose took awhile to develop but it was basically roasted malt and smoky peat. The taste includes fairly sweet malt with notes of chocolate, burnt peat, and black pepper, with a fairly bitter finish. It's quite boozy. It's moderate in feel and carbonation and quite potent at 9% ABV. It drank big. Overall, Beira is a solid - if not memorable - Wee Heavy. I'm always excited to see this style brewed locally. Given the opportunity I'd gladly drink Beira again.

A great rendition of a Style that’s become rare and rare to find in the American craft brew scene. A taste of Glasgow in New Jersey brought to you by ghost Hawk, malty, heavy but doesn’t kick you in the gut.
This one is to enjoy with a good cigar. Loved it.
