Our ode to the arrival of Spring, Field Horizon, showcases the opening harvest of dandelion flowers from Bolton Spring Farms in Bolton, Massachusetts, and local honey from The Shelburne Honey Company. This floral and crisp farmhouse ale was matured 6 months in white wine barrels with mixed cultures.

New brewery for me, and really interesting beer.
Pours a very small bubbly head with basically zero retention, tons of fizzy bubbles like soda, very clear golden ginger ale color
Nose wow that's interesting, I don't even really know where to go with it... so I do get some floral flowery dandelion like notes, a bit grassy as well, lemon zest and a little tartness, lemongrass, touch of bright golden apples, an interesting sweet honey aroma, touch of white wine and mild buttery toasted oak,
Taste comes on with some funk, Brett like funk up front, or just very funky Farmhouse yeast, some floral characters, less so dandelion like but it's there, actually more dandelion as it warms, a little bright acidity and lemon tartness, lemon zest, fair golden apple notes, and golden pear esters as well, a touch of white wine in there, vinous notes, and light buttery oak, not much honey up front, then some honey late on the back end, a bit drier and touch acidic flemmy like, some bitterness on the finish that is a little out of place
Mouth is med bod, med fizzy carb, light bright acidity
Overall this was a fun beer, I really like the Farmhouse funk in there mixed with floral characters and lemon tartness, a nice blend, the bitterness on the finish is the only part I wasn't a huge fan of but otherwise it was nice, wish the buttery oak and white wine was a bit stronger as well
