One of our modern saisons, dripping with the aroma of citrus from massive additions of Motueka and Wai-Iti™. This is one of those genre bending beers that is more akin to NEIPA in intention than traditional Belgian examples.

NO can date
Pours a giant overflowing 4+ finger head with moderate retention like 90% of the pour was foam, a bit of lacing, small amount of beer in the glass is hazy golden honey blonde color
Nose very saison like, floral spices and herbal phenols, grassy grainy doughy malt base, citrus lemony tangerine like fruity esters, coriander, a bit of honey cake, apple pear like, little gristy bread
Taste starts with more creamy doughy malt, a bit of cake batter, honey cake, lemon cake, lemongrass, some generic citrus, bready doughy center, into more phenol spices with coriander and a mild herbal floral spice and some pepper, hint of pear, earthy farmhouse yeast notes, a bit of bitterness, drier finish
Mouth is med bod, a touch creamy, med to a bit higher effervescent carb
Overall a nice saison style beer, enjoyable with enough pizzazz as well

Not sure I get what they're saying about this being closer to NEIPA , there's a bit of fruity hops but spice and in particular pepper are the dominant flavors for me. Not that I'm complaining, I think this does a remarkable job using southern hemisphere hops to create something that still feels like a saison without letting the cheater hops dominate. Really nice beer and the best example I've had in delivering on their "saison modern" appellation

Pours a fairly hazy pale orange-gold with a dense, long lasting, rocky white head, decent lacing. Aroma has lemon-lime notes along with a bit of hay and a spicy note. Upfront the taste has a quick hit of lemon and lime then it’s goes for a peppery spiciness and herbal note. The finish is dry with a returning lime like acidity. Light-medium body with high+ carbonation, on the verge of effervescent. This is a super tasty and drinkable saison. The hops accentuate the lemon-lime citrus notes but it retains a lot of the traditional saison character that makes this style so wonderful.
