Received from @harrison8. No evident canning date. Poured into a snifter glass. It pours a deep mahogany color with a creamy, light khaki head that dissipated quickly. The nose offers earthy char and cigar ash. I'm not smelling caramel, toffee or raisin. There is some burnt sugar in the flavor, along with strong cigar and char that overwhelms the sweetness. As it warms I begin to taste raisin and molasses but it has a hard time competing with the burnt tastes. The mouth feel is thick and creamy with appropriate carbonation, and it's a big beer at 11% ABV. My issue with All My Pieces is that it has all of the elements I'd want in an English Barleywine but lacks the balanced smoothness of the finer examples of the style.

Pours a ruddy burgundy with a ruby hue to it. Transparency is fogged, showing light thru the glass, but faintly. Head is two and a half fingers of khaki foam. Aroma is toffee, raisins, heavy molasses, hearty fig, and caramelized sugar. It leads very sweet, but is balanced out by some late caramel, toasted, and earthy malts. Flavor profile is lead sweet from the start, and retains that sweetness throughout. Molasses, raisins, toffee, and fig all work together to form a sugary sip. The upside here is the alcohol never seeps through in the flavor profile. Some bready malt at the end compliments it, but it's too little, too late to have a major impact. Mouth feel is creamy at the onset, with a more still texture at the finish. It's a soothing texture, adding to the experience, adding a little extra presence to the medium-thick liquid. Overall, a sugary barleywine. It's easy to drink without the alcohol protruding thru, but also a little difficult due to the heavy sweetness.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 16oz can.

16oz undated can ironically labeled "Keep cold. Drink fresh. Be happy." poured into half pint glass at 53° Fahrenheit 11% ABV per label. The beer pours opaque medium brown in color with light brown head. The head disappears completely in a couple minutes leaving no retention or lacing. The aroma is mild with sweet notes caramel and chocolate. The taste is semisweet burnt sugar caramel, cocoa and ethanol with mild bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, good, but lacking the body and complexity of above average versions of the style.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, dark, dark amber color with a very small, off-white head of foam. It left almost no lacing on the glass. It smelled of toffee, caramel, roasted malt and raisins. Sweet toffee and caramel taste with some dark fruits and a mild bitterness.
