Pours black with a finger of beige khaki foam. Aroma is vanilla bean, coffee, and chocolate with subtle roasty and toasty malts underneath. Bourbon is an afterthought, with the focal point, or at least the center of attention, being vanilla. Mouth feel is a mash-up mixed tape of vanilla bean, coffee, and chocolate. It drinks hot, with the bourbon adding heat throughout, before a quick rise and finish at the end. Roasty and toasty malts sprinkled throughout. Dynamics are a little choppy, shifting from vanilla bean, to chocolate, to coffee with the smoothness of a transmission lacking synchronizer. Mouth feel is thick with a soft grist to it. Overall, some big flavor additive notes.
