My first from L'Apaisee', I went on their website in French and I could not find an English button. But since reading French is a lot less working than even attempting to read German, I found this out: L'Apaisee' is about ten years old and has a brew shop next to train yard, a separate taproom and a nightclub that serves a little food in Geneva. UnTappd has listed 261 beers for this nano. All impressive for a ten year old. So for doing all this stuff, I give L'Apaisee' very good Overall Hugs.
Jonquille was something of a mystery. When I bought it, I thought it was a saison, since I've had at least two saisons by that name (one famous and probably inspired the other and I thought L'Apaisee'.) I open the can and take two sips and say, "This is a hoppy saison. But it still goes well with the bread I'm eating while the French Alps in its springtime glory go by me on the train." I finish the ale and the lingering hops make me think a saison this Jonquille is not. Sure enough, UnTappd styles it an APA. So we go with that.
I don't know Jonquille's Looks because I drank it out of a can; so call it average. Smells out of a can are naturally less strong. I really don't want to call this balanced as the hops did bother me at the end, although I also had some wrong thinking. It was refreshing and light to medium mouthed.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
