750ML bottle picked up at Vintage in Chanhassen. Per the guy working at the store, 49 bottles produced, so I’m a fool to be drinking this, right? Should have traded it for 27 KBBS. Or Jessica Alba. Leaning towards two of her.
The pour is Minnesota River brown, murky, turbid. Smells like fall in Mogadishu, with heavy bourbon & caramel malt. Simple but pleasant.
Troika is heavier than a sixteen pack of moose. Mooses. Mice? Enough bourbon to poison a small village - luckily, I’m a professional drinker with the liver of Sammy Sosa. Heavy bourbon, enough wood to frame a 3600 sq. foot house, muddied malts, caramel, shot of alcohol that starts basting my brain immediately upon contact. Heavy, thick, & angry. I could drink this whole bomber, if you gave me a couple hours & no steps to a safe place.
Simple. Let’s put some malts in a bourbon barrel & shoot a few of these out to the general population. If that population drinks at least twelve or twenty or fifty ounces, we should be good. Simple, direct, excellent. Wake me up when this is almost gone.
