Schram Haus Brewery

Standalone building on a hill overlooking downtown Chaska. Gravel surfaced parking lot. Garage doors face a concrete pad and gravel surfaced patio, which is dog friendly. High black colored ceiling and concrete floor. Tall windows on the south side. High top tables with chairs and community tables. Has a couple of stools on one leg of the long bar. Clear view of brewing equipment in the back. Has a dozen taps, with a choice of standard styles. One TV showing sports. Board games available. Offers canned beer to go. Attentive staff. Scenic location, with a large patio that will get good use during warmer seasons.

 

 

 

Taproom is located in a rather nondescript, quite large brewery that sits alone atop a hill. The taproom is attractive, lots of wood and brick, if a bit boring. Nice views from the patio. Sorely lacking in comfortable seating. The free shuffleboard is a nice touch.
Quality of the beers is good. They seem well crafted if a bit pedestrian.
Service was adequate but not very friendly or outgoing.
Selection was decent with a couple of lagers, some other easy drinkers and a couple of IPA's. Ten beers on tap.
Overall? OK, not sure I need to go back.

 

Visited on grand opening weekend. Open floor plan with cement floors and brick walls. Main room is loud. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy a lazy summer drink.
Good selection of beers with a mix of trad German lagers and American ales. Helles was solid.
