My wife and I picked up a few cans of this beer from the brewpub. It pours a deep brown color with a thick tan head. Clear ruby when held to the light. The aroma is nutty with some chocolate scents. The taste is balanced with medium bitterness and some cocoa and caramel notes. A bit of a distant homebrewer off-ness is there, unfortunately (phenolic). Other than that, it's a nice brew. You don't see enough brown ales anymore.
