A 12-oz pour at the brewery. A fizzy, short lived white head over a hazy strawberry body due to the addition of Pomegranate
Faint smell, just a hint of citrus and herbal hops with the impression of fruity sweetness. Very faint wheat toast and cracker.
Semi-sweet with very low bitterness, the pomegranate tastes like a blend of red grape, sweet apple and balancing tart cherry. As in the smell, a wheaty toasted malt taste is faint. Hops flavor is mild yet bright and balancing. The finish is crisp, quick, almost semi-dry but not clean, the pomegranate juiciness takes over at the end.
Medium light bodied with lasting, effervescent carbonation, hard to tell there is alcohol behind the juice. A light and fruity ale, Kölsch-like and all-day session-able.
