Primitive Beer

We aged a two-year old Méthode Traditionnelle spontaneous beer on the world-famous Rocky Ford Cantaloupe melons in a freshly emptied Chateau Montelena Winery Chardonnay barrel. This beer pours a beautiful pale gold color with a fluffy, pillowy head. Warmed summer earth and fruit salad aromas followed by white wine barrel oak. Brightly acidic and highly melon-forward, this blend is a bright dash of summer in these increasingly cold fall days!
