A pale golden, cloudy fluid with a thick rich head. Slow fade, lots of clingy lacing.
Nose is deep with tropical hops. Pineapple, pine, citrus, guava, melon. Lots of lovely fruits and juiciest. A surprising amount of malt, sweet and lightly toasted. Some graininess.
Taste has all the hops from the nose, with a big malt base. The can says they floor malt all their grains at the brewery. You can tell. There's a depth and deliciousness that only comes with floor malting. Finish is firmly bitter with a touch of hoppy herbal mintiness. Alcohol is nowhere to be found, even as it warms.
Feel is medium and supple. Smoothly creamy at first, mellowing as it sits to a gentle, tingly carbonated crispness.
This is a top tier brew that incorporates elements of a New England and West coast IPA. Juicy hops that don't peel your enamel, with an un-New-England bitterness on the finish. Easy to ready to crud mcrush a few pig these. GREAT BEER!
