473 mL can from the LCBO; no canning date and served slightly chilled.

Pours a cloudy pale lemondrop yellow colour, sporting one finger of loose, sudsy white head that disintegrates within ninety seconds. Afterwards, a frothy collar is left surrounding a filmy cap, with a modest smattering of lace speckled onto the glass. Fruity, understated aroma of mango, melon, orange and passion fruit, with hints of floral hops.

Pretty flavourful for a session IPA - I'm getting green mango, orange juice and pineapple, with hints of nectarine and lemon zest. Grassy and a teensy bit floral on the finish, with citrus pith and stone fruit dissipating into a bone dry aftertaste. Thin bodied, with assertive carbonation that lends a crisp, firm bite to this session IPA's smooth, light mouthfeel. Ridiculously drinkable; I could easily drink several of these over the course of a Saturday night.

Final Grade: 3.89, a B+. Matron's Deece is a very solid session IPA that served as an excellent introduction to this small farmhouse brewery. The stone fruit and tropical flavours pop very well, making for a flavourful and refreshing pale ale that I'd rank above the bulk of its Ontario session IPA competition. I am generally not big on session IPAs, but this is one I'd buy again, and I'd also recommend it to other BAs looking for something light and hoppy.
