A- This pours a nice yellowish golden tone, and has either some chill haziness happening, or else there is some muted yeast suspension.....the carbonation appears to be reasonably aggressive, as the sparkling bubble columns rapidly rise to the top of the liquid. The head is very white in color and after a fairly aggressive pour, it starts off about two fingers in thickness, however, it dissipates rather swiftly, only leaving behind a wispy thin layer that swirls about on its own time. The lacing is modest at best, with only a small couple of patches clinging to the inside of the beer glass, before giving way to gravity. Overall there's nothing wrong with how it looks, but it doesn't scream 'drink me!' either....
S- The one unique thing about this one, as I suppose the brewery is looking for, is a very heavy floral aroma....I'm not good with my horticulture, but lets just say that I feel like I'm wandering through a rose garden surrounded by those trees that generate those sweet smelling small white flowers in May! Malt profile is noted, alongside clean dry grain and the finish is of more cleanliness in terms of hop bitterness.....it isn't strong but the hops are there. I cant really get through this well with the intense floral nature....
T- Much of the aforementioned aromas shine through onto the palate, with floral herbal flavors right up front, alongside reasonably robust malt, soft yeast, dry biscuits and a finish that actually surprises me, having an upgraded hop bitterness that hits the sides and back of the palate with lingering dry leafy character. The flavors are definitely better than what I find in most lagers and this reminds me more of an Ale in terms of flavors
M/O- The carbonation is fine and not as aggressive as it would appear, allowing the flavors to really coat the tongue with a balancing blend of flowers, malt and hop bitterness. The body is medium light and the alcohol is fairly well hidden, with just a ting of booze noticeable right near the finish and into the lingering afterthoughts. As I am drinking it, I find it mellows out and I am enjoying it more......I don't mind it at all, but somehow its' not a wow beer for me. I would have it again when visiting the brewpub.
