Look: Hazy deep amber/copper body beneath a short head of off-white foam. Very good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Caramelish and nutty malt with some leafy and grassy hops.
Taste: Beautifully malty with notes of sweet and toasty bread, caramel, nuts, apple, and a hint of dried dark-skinned fruit set against leafy, grassy, and lightly spicy and herbal hops. Nicely balanced bitterness. Sweet upfront but then drying in the finish.
Feel: Medium bodied and dextrinous. Gently crisp and smooth.
Overall: An excellent ESB.
