Somehow got a pour of this during Sac Beer Week at that cool place that was doing flights and had a to go cooler.
Pours a hazy yellow and orange, looks like a screwdriver with a respectable 3/4" white head. Aroma popped hops, Citra, Amarillo and Galaxy all push a ton of dry hop weight around in the nose, hefty amounts of pineapple, orange, tangerine, papaya and mango. Well done.
Taste is pushed along by those aroma hops, very little bittering going, seems to be in the 40 ibu range. Orange keeps pushing through as the biggest hop flavor. Ultra soft body, really hit its spot in balancing the hoppiness with a softer body no doubt through less than 100% barley malt wise. Excels here because there isn't a flat or watery interior, even manages to push a dry mouth feel on the back end contrary to the beer's appearance.
This beer really competed with a lot of excellent hoppy beers that weekend. Definitely the best beer I've had from this brewery. This was really crushable and would love to have cans/bottles of this.

Most white-washed hazy IPA I've ever seen. Smells great, tastes mediocre, feels smooth and balanced.
Overall, the up and down cycle of one-off IPAs from Ex Novo continues. This one leans downward.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/10/2019. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/amber/light green color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.5%. Overall this is an excellent NEAPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; great soft feel for the style/ABV. Awesome Amarillo, Citra, Galaxy profile. Very vibrant, and fairly juicy/dank/earthy hops; with a nice balancing wheat/oat/malt backbone for the ABV. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. No complaints.
