16 oz. can on sale for $3.99
Lovely looking beer ..black body with a handsome tan head. Thick and creamy.
Aromas..very good..vanilla barrel, mushroom, lighter brandy notes and cane sugar.
Taste supremely tasty yet balanced..getting the port wine and a bit of brandy and some meaty vibes from the mushrooms.
Mouth feel is luxuriant and soft..easy to drink for such a strength. Slight tinges of alcohol warmth but its pleasant.
REally nice IMpy very good indeed.

rs a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a half finger dark khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, fortified wine, wood, light cocoa and coffee. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, brandy, fortified wine, cocoa, drip coffee and dark fruit; woody earthiness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. A very full flavored barreled stout with excellent influence from the port and brandy barrels. The mushrooms add an interesting earthy flavor that is less like mushrooms than wet forest wood. The woody mushroom flavor blends very nicely with the dark fruit flavors from the barrels. The overall profile is much more like a blended strong ale than a stout and has a fantastic lingering aftertaste. The Mexican chocolate version was good, but this one is stellar. Don't know who thought it was a good idea to use mushrooms in the wort, but this turned out great. I'm going to grab another of these if they are still around.
