Pours a very dark burgundy with a light fog to the transparency. Head is two fingers of off-white foam. Aroma is bready, caramely malts along side faint resin hops and fig. It leans into the bready notes firmly. Flavor profile is bready, toasty, wafery, and caramely with light fig behind. It's malt centric, falling a little hollow in total. In other words, it lacks depth or resiliency. Mouth feel is medium-thin with a very tightly crisp effervescence. The crispness is tight and low enough that it's not refreshing, but sharp. Overall, it's malt forward, and bread forward at that, but not much else.
Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 16oz can.

Firsties! Canned on Jan 25th and today is March 15, so less than 8 weeks old.
Dark amber pour, modest head, some lacing. You can catch aromas that are mostly bready yeast with a little bit of the roast malt. Taste is very malty, a little sweet, well rounded, just enough bitterness. Carbonation is low which makes it a little flat on the finish. Still, a tasty beer and would be good all year round.
