Look: Pitch black on the pour with a silky-looking tan head that settles to a lid, leaving a nice coating behind on the glass
Aroma: Warm brown bread, dark chocolate, roast, earthy hop notes, and wafts of sweetness
Taste: Kicks off with a bold roast note that beings about some coffee and light nutty notes and quickly followed by rich dark chocolate that joins into the mix seamlessly. Bready malt, roast, and chocolate go back and forth and earthiness is present throughout before closing with earthy hops and roast
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, medium-high carbonation, and finishes nice and dry
Overall: This is tasty stuff. This is a well-made dry Irish Stout and one that is hitting the spot on these late season cold nights. The chocolate component stands out to me as a pretty dominant feature, which I dig and I love the bold/robust and dry finish that comes with stouts brewed in this mold. A delicious treat
