Dark brown, beautiful color. Sweet, roasted aroma. Wow, excellent mouthfeel and exceptional flavor. I always get a Dunkel when I see one because I really like them, and this one is perfect. Flavor is caramel, toasted, slightly grainy, very low bitterness, no off flavors, pleasant aftertaste. Would buy again.

Look: Chestnut brown on the pour and deep ruby-red when held to light in the glass with a short-lived head that leaves good lacing behind as it settles and winds up as a film
Aroma: Freshly baked brown bread, light nutty notes, dark toffee, toasted bread, some brown sugar, and wafts of earthiness
Taste: Follows the nose well but everything is more pronounced and more uniform as the blend of flavors come together very nicely. Lots of bread, crust, and toast along with sweeter brown sugar, toasted nuts, and toffee that are kept in balance by light earthy hops through the close
Mouthfeel: Full but light, very clean, medium-high carbonation, and a clean and crisp finish
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. Honestly, although I figured between the beer style itself and brewer, I would like this, I also bought it because of the name as I have an uncle named Steve and the name and logo made me laugh when I first saw it. It’s a delicious Dunkel with a nice blend of rich and sweet malt throughout and a clean feel that all make this a winner
