An absolutely absurd amount of carbonation yields three fingers of dense, creamy white head into my Willi. Retention is wonderful, taking at least 5 minutes to die down to a finger of head. Lacing is very thick. Body is a golden orange. Looks nice.
Nose is bursting with notes of clove and floral perfume. Some lemon. While very nice, the head is so dense that I’m not sure I’m getting the full array of aromas, nothing is getting past this thing!
Unfortunately, the flavor just doesn’t have a lot going on. You get a tiny bit of that lemon, maybe just the smallest whisper of clove in the finish, but it’s basically not present. Malt is extremely light.
Carbonation is definitely somewhat high. Body is fairly light. Bitterness comes and goes, but is assertive at times. On the drier side. Mouthfeel is ok, bitterness is a little lopsided at times, could use some sweetness to balance.
Drinkability is alright, for the above-mentioned reasons.
Overall the flavor is just way too light.
