A beer with very few ingredients but is balanced with thought and care.

A traditional Bohemian Pilsner, a beer with very few ingredients but is balanced with thought and care. It starts with a clean and simple water profile and mashing it in with only a single variety of Pilsner malt. A portion of the mash is then pulled off and boiled before being returned to mash tun. This process creates rich and complex malt aromas, better head retention and smoother mouthfeel to the beer. Moving over to the boil kettle we then load it up with Czech Saaz hops which contribute a lovely spicy and herbal bouquet. Fermented and matured long and cold, this beer is sure to please, subtle yet complex.

Flavor Profile: Crisp / Light

IBU: 44

Hops: Czech Saaz / German Magnum

Malts: Weyermann Floor malted Bohemian Pilsner

Clear, golden body; fair carbonation density, lively; somewhat thin head yet semi-dense and creamy textured, long lasting. Fine, balanced nose; light cereal grain with a twitch of mild esters. Outstanding taste; lightly toasted cereal grain infused with a moderate note of hop bitterness. Medium body; soft and full mouthfeel; slight overall dryness.

Simple beers should be as tasty as this beer. The taste is fairly robust and the mouthfeel is killer. I foresee more of this beer in my future.
