Grabbed a 4 pack on release at Burnish.
Beautiful clear red DIPA.
Nose is hoppy and malty; inviting.
Taste is very West Coast hoppy but likewise has a very nice WC caramel maltiness as well.
Body has a smooth rich malt backbone here as well.
The more I enjoyed the beer the more I thought this could be more accurately described as a West Coast Imperial Red or WC Imp Red IPA. Angel OTE really reminds me of Port Brewing’s “Shark Attack” and one of my personal favs…Grand Teton’s “Pursuit of Hoppiness”…two excellent beers that are big red ales…high IBU but also richly malted and smooth. Can’t recall having something like this on East coast.
Really enjoying this beer, and will be restocking.
