Burnish Brewing Co. "One-Trick Pony: Berries + Cream"
12 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
$4.99 @ Total Wine & More, Claymont, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: "Strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry mixed with ample amounts of vanilla creaminess!" This is a murky beast! It really looks like a milkshake. There's a fluffy head on it right now but I can see that it's falling in upon itself. The color is a muddy tan with a hint of pink to it. The aroma is berry-like, no doubt. The flavor displays the strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry that they promise, and it's both tart and sweet. That's pretty much all there is to it, so the name is apropriate. There isn't any noticeable bitterness, nor should there be, but the acidity is enough to dry it in the finish. As expected it feels thick in the mouth. There's some carbonation to it as well, and in combination with the acidity it lends a gentle tingle to the tongue. It's a really ugly beer, no one will deny, but it smells and tastes pretty good. If it actually has 6% alcohol
