Grabbed a 4 pk at BBC. Pours a mostly clear deep bronze gold. Nice white head. No particular retention ; some lacing and a residual halo. Nose is dank and citrus. Taste really shows off the Nelson. Brings back some memories of Alpine’s original Nelson.
Body is great. Smooth and full yet not heavy. Just a really enjoyable old school DIPA feel.
No pronouncements of this being a West Coast DIPA…but it really takes me back to hitting the breweries in San Diego 10-15 years ago.
Seriously enjoyed. Looking forward to draft release.
