Got a single at Cheers to try out the new SHS Strata.
Beautiful frig cold pour into a Burnish Pub Glass.Really attractive “burnish-ed” (sorry) bronze with light haze. Top notch look. Then a creamy rich white head that lingers with a full 1/4 inch residual surface foam and great lacing. One of the best looking beers I’ve ever seen.
Nose is base tropical fruit with some strawberry and grapefruit-citric hints. Taste mirrors but grapefruit and dank really leap out. Strawberry very noticeable. Melon, papaya/passion fruit?? remain present but more of a base vs leap out. Body is smooth with bright refreshing carbonation that enhances rather than burns/distracts. Really seems to carry strengths of a smooth malty brew that has the “just right”brightness.
Overall, I enjoyed the single hop Strata, but was much more impressed with the overall quality of brewing. Burnish reliably does a very good job constructing/producing their beers…but this is real stand out. Highly impressed. And will be going back for much more.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
