Poured from a bottle (20Nov2019) into a Belgian glass
L: pours a beautiful and perfectly clear yellow gold with a moderate white head and constant quick visible carbonation. Bit of lacing left with each sip, small dense bubbles
S: excellent farmhouse nose as soon as I pour. Mix of light lemon and granny smith apple bitterness, oak, some black pepper spice. Bit of white wine character, dough/fresh bread, grass. Some peach? Getting that more as it’s warmed. Nice and bright
T: follows the nose well, led by really excellent lemon flesh flavor. Solid oak character, there’s more of that black pepper spice toward the middle, get some dough and under-baked bread as well. Get a slightly sweet fruit note right after that lemon flavor I’m trying to identify, builds as it’s warmed in the glass. Medium-long finish, fruit notes carrying through with a bit of oat character. A very bright and refreshing swallow
F: fairly smooth/soft feel considering how light the flavor profile was, imagine the oats at work. Medium+ carbonation, medium- body, very slightly drying
O: I’m a weaver hollow Stan at this point, don’t care. A beautiful beer, bright and flavorful - just a clean, excellent saison
