When you enter the eye of a storm, you enter a calm and balanced place amidst a circle of darkness and destruction. Keeping with the name we wanted to craft an IPA which would bring balance to all beer lovers alike. Just enough malt to round out the bitterness and a perfect platform to showcase subtle nuances of hops pairings, with Ekuanot hops used throughout the brewing process and a 100% Citra dry hop.

This beer has grown on me since the 1st time I had it. I have always enjoyed beers with citra hops, so this one doesn’t fail. Easy to drink, pairs well with different foods, from a growing NJ micro brewery.

A - Opaque medium golden tan color with a dense, two fingered frothy head hangin' out on top.
S - Tropical fruit, papaya, grapefruit, peach, melon, and some passion fruit.
T - Papaya, peach, melon, passion fruit, tropical fruit, and a slight bit od spicy fruit rind (not much). Finishes on the sweeter side with lingering pulpy fruitiness.
M - Big medium body that's chewy.
O - This is a really solid NE style from a brewery I've never heard of before. Would like to try more from this place.

Pours cloudy orange gold color with a 2+ finger thick foamy off-white head that faded slowly and left decent lacing. It smells and tastes like tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, melon, biscuit, mild caramel, faint spices like tea leaf and honeydew melon. It was average in its level of bitterness, with mild carbonation and a nice mouthfeel, but overall it just seemed like a middle of the road IPA that wasn’t super dank or much different from what is out on the market.

Canned on 12/12/2019. Poured into a Willi Becher glass. It pours a hazy, honey-amber with a thick, creamy, milk-white cap and thick, soapy lacing. The aromatic nose features lemon, grapefruit, resinous pine needles, and spicy, floral hops. The taste opens with notes of orange peel and lime in addition to the lemon and grapefruit, as well as resinous pine and herbal spices, which I assume comes from the Ekuanot hops in the boil and the dry hopping with Citra. There is a great balance of sweet citrus and spice, and it finishes with a good deal of hoppy bitterness. The mouth feel is quite lite and crisp with a pleasant level of carbonation, while the temperate 6.5% ABV allows for very easy drinking. Overall, I think this is the best IPA to date from Jersey Cyclone. I'm happy to see that the brewery's early canning is at such a high level.
