Tao pour at the taproom. Served chilled in a tulip glass.
Black colored body. Khaki colored head, which persists. Leaves behind teardrops and partial bands of lacing.
Aroma of roasted caramel and pine. Whiff of citrus.
Taste is caramel with a sweet char, citrus orange, and pine resin. Noticeable bitterness as the sweetness fades. A meld of orange citrus, roasted malts, and pine in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Touch of tongue numbing. Very good carbonation.
Fits for style, with a good balance among the triad of flavors.
