APRIL 2026.
37.5cl bottle (€10 at the "Fermento" pub in Bologna, Bolognina area).
On the label: "Batch: 1225 - Best before: December 2029".
Wild notes of must and more rustic Farmhouse/Saison aromas on the nose, with noticeable sulfurous notes.
Upon pouring, aromas of red berry fruit and light notes of freshly cut meadow grass emerge.
Dark golden color mixed with reddish highlights.
Abundant head at the top, but very evanescent, which after a short time only lingers on the surface.
On the palate, a light-bodied beer, with mineral notes and other more vinous aromas that bring it closer to a natural wine.
Despite its quick drinking, the palate is very broad. Ample: hints of cherry and red currant alternate with more rustic, funky notes (ear of corn, straw) and slightly earthy notes. The woody notes (of tired, already soaked wood) add roundness without being fully noticeable, while the finish reveals more herbaceous and balsamic notes that refresh the drink, leaving the tongue clean and the palate gently intoxicated with notes of red fruits.
A very fine and pleasant product to enjoy with these vinous characteristics and more typically a Farmhouse Ale, with a very successful use of hops that refreshes and quenches the thirst.
An elegant and complex product in its rapid drinking.
An example of a link between beer and mineral rosé wine.
