Sampled both at the Glenside brewpub and now from a clear glass liter mug, after the contents of a pint can were emptied entirely into one. With a reasonable just-off-white head produced, it's not a bad start. The color is dark apricot-amber and it's cloudy. It brings a modest Pale Ale aroma that's not too hoppy, nor is it malty in any way. Its taste is sweet and shallowly so, but not to the level that it offends. Since the hop bite is also mild, the starches work as an acceptable counterbalance. The body is rich and smooth, probably capable of carrying more flavor from either side. It even leaves some glass lacing behind. Overall, this is a pleasant, but not noteworthy offering that could be enjoyed with food, or by itself. Its ABV permits having a few more, if so inclined. Its biggest flaw is its blandess and for some, that's no flaw at all.
