A full clear pint glass of this was drawn from a tap, here in Glenside, PA. It's color is blond-yellow, hazy and with a modest off-white head. There's a mild aroma of citrus and vague spices. The taste is much fuller than the nose led to believe it would be. It's nicely balanced, with a solid starchy backbone that's not too sweet. The body goes to superb, rare for something that's close to, or in the session beer category. The hopping is much more dry than bitter, in this case it works better. The stratified glass lacing attests to the quality of its body. No, it's not among the best American IPAs, but it should be considered amongst those with an ABV under 5 percent. What really makes this work and it's not easy, it gives a full hop flavor, with a good starchy backbone, without being too bitter, nor too malty. All, without having much alcohol to use as an assistant.
