This hazy pilsner balances notes of fresh bread with a spicy hop quality, delivering a clean bitterness and smooth finish with no lingering aftertaste. Fresh and clean yet easy drinking with a creamy mousse that softness any bitterness.

I bought a can today at the lcbo in Ontario 473ml at 4.7%.
I poured it into a glass with a 1finger head that quickly evaporated but leaving a lace around as I was drinking it. the color was hazy but I could see
slow or little carbonation
the taste was very enjoyable and refreshing with a zesty spicy hop flavor and some lemon. light bitterness. smooth and clean
very easy drinking light pilsner beer .
overall I am enjoying this pilsner.
cheers

Slightly hazy straw yellow, short-lived moderate head, some lace as you go. Just a whiff of grassy hops, something medicinal lurking in the background. Slightly grassy hops to taste, a wee bite of lemon. Pretty light on the palate, watery mouthfeel. Inoffensive, not really memorable, better than a typical macro with no off notes.

473 mL can from the LCBO; coded L010451310 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy pale golden colour, giving rise to nearly an inch of puffy, foamy white head that dissipates at a casual pace. Even after five minutes, a thick collar of creamy foam remains in place, underneath a full, gorgeous coat of sticky lacing - this is just a beautiful looking beer. Notes of lemony, floral, spicy noble hops on the nose, in addition to hints of grainy, crackery pale malts.
A pretty good pale lager, perhaps a tad bit hoppier than your average pils - it tastes of clean, grainy pilsner malt accented with flavours of floral, spicy hops and lemon pith. Finishes with hints of cereal grain sweetness and fading suggestions of spicy, floral hop bitterness, as well as a touch of lemon peel; trends dry into the aftertaste. Light-medium in body, with assertive carbonation that feels frothy in the mouth, lending a silky softness to the texture that contrasts well with the carb's bite. Yeah, I could pound back a couple of these in a row, as it's both sessionable and fairly flavourful.
Final Grade: 3.85, a B+. No. 99 Hazy Pilsner didn't necessarily remind me of the imported Euro pilseners that I drink on a regular basis - think Czechvar, Bitburger, etc. This one's a little more aromatic and hoppy than those, but not to the extent where I'd be inclined to lump it in with IPLs or dry-hopped lagers or anything like that. Good stuff, certainly worth a spin if you're trying new pale lagers on for size in search of a suitable session option for this summer. So far, it's the best of the Wayne Gretzky beers I've tried... but I've still got a can of their Hazy IPA waiting in the fridge...

It does indeed pour a hazy yellow colour with a big fluffy head. Subtle hoppy smell. Bitter and spring-like on the taste, refreshing. Mouthfeel is fizzy.
