Pours a glowing golden. Hazy. Had it side by side with East Crib on the farm and it was noticeably more hazy than its lower ABV brethren. Brethren as in sharing a naming convention, not in terms of being a bigger badder version. Anyway, the color is like a ripe mango. But again, hazy - you're not going to see anything through it. Head retention is good, like most/all Wheatland Spring beers. Not super pungent aroma but I am getting some sour dough bread. There's some sweet crust bread - like a baguette but one that has an addition of honey or something. There' s a little graham cracker action going on. There's a fair amount of spicy hop character where this isn't a sweet beer. It finishes with a rye bread note, which makes sense, if you were told there was some rye in this. I don't know where this stands in "Crib" pantheon or even within Wheatland Spring's lager portfolio but to say it's solid to good is not a difficult stretch.
