Pours a medium amber with ample head that has great retention. Substantial, lovely lacing as the beer is consumed.
Light floral hop aromas. A little bready. A hint of caramel.
Taste follows. Floral and herbal notes up front. Mildly bitter.
Medium body. Creamy mouth.
This is a decent English pale ale. Better than most of the Stonehooker beers I’ve had. I likely wouldn’t seek it out again though.

Weak-kneed stuff. FAirly nice to look at, but very subdued in just about every other way. More malty than anything else, not quite as hoppy as you might expect from a pale ale. Slightly sweet to start, firmly bitter to finish. Nothing off about it, but not exciting either.

I bought 6 cans from the brewery.
Poured into glass with 2 finger head.
Leaving a lace all around as you drink it.
Taste was sweet malty bread with a low to medium bitterness level
Queen Victoria figured prominently as the reigning monarch for most of the Stonebrooking era ,and we still celebrate every year .
She was English and she would be pleased with a proper well balanced ale .
Overall a good well balanced pale ale beer.
Cheers

Appearance: Poured with a single finger of head that retained exceptionally well but didn't produce a lot of lacing. The body is a cloudy orange with very aggressive carbonation which sadly highlights the biggest issue with the beer. There are ample dark brown specks of yeast floating about when held up to the light.
Smell: Bread malt with a floral almost mild orchid note with maybe the smallest hint of honey. That said, it definetely needs more potency and warming simply isn't bringing it out much.
Taste: Starts with some bready malt that turns to a floral note and the a mineral and hop bitterness note. It's basic and the bitterness is where a pale ale should be. It's done well enough I suppose, but I wouldn't say it sticks out.
Mouthfeel: That mild floral note and a touch of that hard water makes for a bit of a bitter aftertaste, but it doesn't get out of control, so I do like that. I also do like the carbonation is present throughout the beer and the head retention always leaves you with a touch of frothiness.
Drinkability: Light bodied and has crispness that a good pale ale should have. Refreshing enough and easy on the system. I dunno, just not a lot to say here.
FInal Thoughts: I just wish there was something more I could say then this is a decent run of the mill pale ale, but that is what it is. Nothing that's going to blow you away, and the good for the most part outweighs the bad.
