Appearance: Poured with a thumb of head that regrettably did not lace or retain very well. The body has a nice cloudy yellow appearance but also boasts quite a bit of sandy particulate. The carbonation in the body starts out very strong but pans out a bit as time goes on.
Smell: Wheat with a strong lemon zest and coriander presence. Pretty much screams solid Wit although a bit more complexity and potency would be desired as it did take a bit of warming to come out.
Taste: Doughy malt to start us off with maybe a hint of lemon zest that kicks into a builds to an excellent peak where a spicy coriander note awaits. It's simple, but well done.
Mouthfeel: Mild coriander and lemon aftertaste which is welcome on this one, and the carbonation helps out the entire beer. Well done transitioning as well, which is often a benefit of keeping beer basic.
Drinkability: Refreshing in extreme, as a good summer guzzler should be, but this beer is not as light bodied as I'd expect from such a low ABV as it approaches medium body and feels a bit heavier on the gut then it should. That said, it's absurdly easy to drink.
Final Thoughts: An all around, solid wit that is a credit to the style but this isn't an offering that is going to knock your socks off. This would make for a great summer drink when you only want one beer to quaff down quickly. Thumbs Up.
