look: 4 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5
Appearance: Poured with a nice thumb of head that retained exceptionally well and produced some decent lacing. The body is a partly opaque light orange, that shows a lot of thin slow carbonation in it.

Smell: I am catching some barley held even with apricot, and maybe a whiff of wheat malt in there, but it's incredibly subdued and warming doesn't seem to help its case.

Taste: It's very mild, which is odd because I wouldn't expect something with a medium body like this to not have more potency behind it. Starts with that even keel of apricot and bready malt that turns to the wheat malt for some direction as some hints of banana and clove make it out, and just kind of slide is as the apricot slides out and then it ends with maybe a slight touch of herbal hops. It's strangely mild.

Mouthfeel: The carbonation here is sudsy, so it doesn't exactly lend itself to aggressively helping out any aspect of the beer. It's probably also the name playing head games with me, but I swear I'm getting an almost fuzzy apricot texture from it. The aftertaste is mostly clean, save for some mild apricot, and the transitioning is good, but again it's like watching a television through a tinted window. The whole experience doesn't feel watered down, but it's still subdued.

Drinkability: That this beer is medium bodied is what I feel is throwing me off here. It's a bit thicker then I would expect from the style, which is fine, but without the potency to go with it, it's like the beer is lost in a fog. It's easy to drink, sure and it settles down well, but it's not what I would call crushable and certainly not potent enough to bit a sipper.

Final Thoughts: This beer is unique, I've never encountered a beer that came across with this much body but had a taste so mild. It's not bad by any means, but it's just such a weird thing that the only time I can see wanting to drink this would be as training wheels for beer, before moving into lager. I applaud the uniqueness here, even if it's not my cup of tea.
