This beer is a very nice entry into the seasonal/Holiday beer category. It pours a dark, mahogany color with a significant caramel color head that lasts quite long. The smell is a bit subtle but it has a pleasant aroma of fresh honey. The taste is rather complex. I detect toasted caramel, honey, and ginger. There is a nice balance between sweetness and bitterness.
