this is really fabulous beer, epic from a brewery i had never heard of before, shockingly good for such an unassuming bottle too, definitely lambic inspired, definitely wild, bretty and funky, and the addition of rhubarb on top of the raspberry is super smart, as it compliments the raspberry tartness rather than sweetness, adds some neat acidity to an already puckery brew, and really overall this is pretty special stuff. the color is stunning, hazy backlit neon pink with just a little sediment in the bottom and a short thin white head. definitely smells like mature brett and some oak, seems way more than just a kettle type sour, ambitious fermentation profile and for me that stands out even in front of the fruit. the fruit though, is amazing, tangy in the nose, sweet and jammy in the taste, incredibly natural and ripe and very high summer vibes for me. the rhubarb compliments the raspberry brilliantly and both are evident in their purest form here, i love that! everything is right here, tons of bretty funk, its very dry, the fruit is essential, and there are all kinds of sneaky layers here from white wine to wet oak to cut hay and straw, its farmy and wild and amazing, honestly among the very best beers i had on my recent trip to alaska and their were some bangers. you can bet i will be checking this place out in the flesh on my next trip! absolutely not to be missed!

Turnagain makes the Rhu(barb) Framb(oise) late each summer once the local rhubarb has been harvested in late July/early August. It has the same bright pink color as their Framb Was but the added aroma and flavor of rhubarb. The raspberry still dominates the flavor but the rhubarb is quite assertive. Both taste very fresh but best of all the lactic fermentation makes it very easy to drink and the finish doesn't linger.
