Unique. Not very hoppy. Not really an IPA but it is very drinkable.

a hazy with kveik yeast, a workhorse with some light esters in this, unique recipe, almost hits like a belgian white ipa, a substyle that kind of existed for a minute, this has a lot of the same attributes, herbal and green from the hops, still bitter too despite what seems to be a sizable dry hop, definitely in the ipa realm there, but equally yeasty and fermentation forward, intentional or not, this seems like it was run warm, a little more there from this strain than i generally prefer, but its unique enough in the hoppy beer context that this intrigues me. unfortunately, i dont think this is very well refined overall, its really hazy and has some sediment in suspension, pale and thick, and it sits heavy in the belly, definitely could have honed this some, it comes across almost a little sloppy as it is, definitely a lot to get down, even in a smaller pour. the hop profile is lemony, lightly candied, and on my palate for miles, even too long after the swallow, slightly green and harsh, but its nice with the white wine and cooked pear im getting from the yeast. oddly some licorice spice as it warms, what seems like a bunch of raw wheat underneath, and a density that kind of forces me to chew through it. i think there are some wins in here, the yeast showing up with the hops is fun, but its all a little much, and as unique as it is, i think these guys are capable of far higher objective quality than this...
