Of course, we did not follow the rule book on traditional Imperial Stout formulation. Though black, the roast on this beer is restrained. After extensive testing, we chose our Kveik yeast for this batch, which means a clean fermentation with a generous helping of residual sweetness. This is a dessert beer with distinct notes of dark fruit (plum, raisin), chocolate, and just a hint of banana. It plays well with fruit, fudge, chocolate, and ice cream. At 10.5% ABV, it will warm your bones when the cold wind blows. Time to winterize the lawn mower, stoke the fire, and ease into the big beers which put Alaskan beer makers on the map!

Pours black with a thin tan head that dissipates quickly.
Taste is heavy dark malts, dark fruit/treacle, some coffee, dark chocolate. At 12.6% it's very smooth and tasty - be careful.
