This barley wine pours black with a restrained head. Aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, it is chocolate and vanilla on the nose. A balanced oak presence beautifully complements rich chocolate and toffee flavors.

Thick oil-like pour. Very little head. Nose was sweet vanilla. Taste is pretty sweet with a nice little bourbon tail. Overall, It's best shared with friends. The recipe for 2020 Guile pours more amber - waiting for the bourbon barrel aged version. This version is pre-2020.
