Tallboy from the LCBO; dated Mar 25 2022 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a bright, effervescent golden-yellow, crowned with more than an inch of soapy, fluffy white head that lasts for the better part of ten minutes. A tight, creamy, quarter-inch cap and collar live on, with a gorgeous curtain of lacing draped against the glass - a beautiful looking ale. It smells of grainy, doughy pale malts and rye bread, with hints of grapefruit, lemon and floral, mildly earthy hops.
A serviceable session ale with a hint of rye - grainy, bready malts, doughy sweetness and light rye bread flavours at the forefront, with light citrus and floral, earthy hop bitterness rounding out the tail end of the sip. Mildly sweet, earthy aftertaste with hints of rye bread, but it trends off-dry. Medium-light in body, with moderate, fine-bubbled carbonation that feels soft/pillowy on the palate; very easy to toss back, and something I could feasibly consume en masse.
Final Grade: 3.64, a B grade. If there's one guaranteed way to get me to buy your beer, put "rye" on the label. Some of 'em are great, but a lot of them aren't. Gateway's 137 Rye Pale Ale falls somewhere in between - I found its balance of rye, hops, and bready malts to be satisfying, but there's plenty of room for improvement. Given the lack of rye beers out there to select from these days, 137 is both decent and reasonably priced - I'd say give it a shot.

I bought a can at the LCBO in Ontario 473ml at 5.1%.
Poured a 1 finger head into glass Clear golden color
Smooth and light hints of rye
Low to medium bitterness level
good carbonation
Cool looking design on the can of a dog maybe with long whiskers paddling a boat .
Overall this beer has sweet flavors with a hint of rye
It's was ok to drink
Cheers

Review from notes. LCBO purchase for around $3.35 CDN. Served cold
Appearance - fairly clear rich yellowy gold color with a small half finger on top. Moderate retention and some spotty lacing.
Smell - Grainy bits, with a suggestion of rye, bready throughout.
Taste - Close to the nose, moderately bitter, but leaning sweet, suggestions of rye and solid bready punch. Maybe a trace of lemon in there.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, carbonation is modest but works with the flavors. Finish is semi-dry.
Overall - To me, kind of seem like a bready blonde with rye accents which isn't a bad thing, however not necessarily but cup of tea. Worth a try and good to see a North Bay brewery getting some play in Southern Ontario.

The beer pours a hazy light amber colour with a thin head. Smell is slightly sugary with a hint of malt. Taste is mildly bitter and a gentle toasted barley malt. Beer is light to medium bodied. Finish is kind of silky. Grade: B+

Look: Golden with a 1 1/2 finger white head. Transparent, with the head slowly fading to a slight 1/8 finger after 5 minutes.
Smell: Toffees, wiht a sweet malty presence.
Taste: Spices, and toffee, with a cracker like back end. Hints of tangerine and caramel. Very subtle and delicate. Slightly watery.
Feel: Crisp, with an little too much sweetness.
This beer is a sessionable summer patio sipper. Nothing standout about it, but nothing offensive either. It earns a B.
