Served from the tap in a taster glass at the Cercis brewpub.
Pours a mostly clear brass-amber topped by a finger of cream foam. The nose comprises mild biscuit, grass, light pine resin, and a touch of flowers. The taste's core is a slightly toasted bit of caramel-laden biscuit, and this core is surrounded by several layers of sharp grass, pine resin, and mixed greens, creating a pervasive sense of outright Bitterness. The body is a rather light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. I feel like they took the name of the style a bit too literally, loading this thing down with oppressive bitterness, sadly drowning out the malts after only a single word in.
