from Untappd--
Brewed with a complex and chocolatey blend of crystal malts, wheat and oats for a silky mouthfeel and rich colour. Hopped gently with Amarillo for a touch of orange and light bitterness to compliment the chocolatey malt profile.
Chewy, biscuity and infinitely comforting.

Served on tap at ABEN's bar at the Copenhagen airport.
Dim Lights Looks only slightly above average, OK foam but maybe more amber would give this brown bod some better highlights, maybe even take it to ruby. Smells are muted malt. Tastes are balanced and continue until the finish, which shows just enough hops to dry out the sweet. When using darker malts and a mixed bill, this semi-dry finish is not easy or often done and indicates some mastery of the style. Medium-mouthed, soft...almost silky as advertised. Better when it warms.
My first from ABEN, I'm impressed by this six year old. They have five bars and are prolific with 340 beers on UnTappd. ABEN also pushes the sustainability and community buttons well. So as I leave Copenhagen in 30 minutes, I look forward to coming back in a few years (or less) and seeing how ABEN has progressed into being an eight year old.
