12 oz can into a barrel glass.
L: Pours black with a smooth & tight 1/4" light beige head, low carbo, head slowly recedes to froth and thick skin, random loose spots of lacing.
S: Toasted grains, light caramel malts, distant coffee/mocha.
T: Toasted grains, darkly roasted malts, a note of coffee char, mainly lightly bitter with a slight touch of sweetness.
F: Smooth medium bodied mouthfeel with a medium length lightly dry finish.
O: A very simple Irish Stout and easy to drink. It reminds me of Murphy's or Beamish. Convincing feel & taste without the use of a C02 widget. It is very good.

Appearance: Black, small tight head.

Smell: Roasted malt.

Taste: Blackened malts with a little mild coffee mocha sweetness mixed in. Creamy feel. Finishes with bitterness from the blackened malt.

Overall: A solid dry stout, potential replacement for Guinness. Seems to have a little more heft than Guinness. Good flavor and easy drinking.

As good a stout as you get outside of Dublin.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Smells of coffee with some chocolate. Tastes of chocolate with a bit coffee finish. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Poured into a stout goblet at a measured 65 degrees. Very dark, close to black in color. With a tan head, that built nicely. Roasted malt here and some caramel. Has a smooth mouth feel and enough hops to keep it clean at the finish.
Not a bad stout at all.

There will be a few cans kept in the beer fridge.
