Black body; brief thin khaki head; poor cap retention. Mild roast malt nose. Very light bitter sweet dark chocolate, and mild bitter roast taste. Watery feel, light carbonation. Overall good enough, but wimpy.

Taster pour at brewery. Dark brown pour, flat, tiny ring of head. Aroma is chocolate and roasty malts. Taste is toasty, smoky , sweet, dark chocolate, coffee, bitter. Very smooth though, silky feel

A moderately roasted stout that finishes fairly dry. To proclaimed style, it’s a bit too dry, I think, and missing that little bit of the tang/dark fruit I get in other Baltic porters. I like it as a standard American porter or bumped up Irish stout, though.

Look - Dark brown opaque and unfiltered in appearance.
Smell - Not as aromatic as I would like. There is nothing wrong with it. Just...not much to it.
Taste - Very flavorful. I don't have a lot of experience with baltic porters, but I really love the flavor profile. Very malty, with a great bitter balance. Hints of milk chocolate.
Feel - Smooth and easy to drink.
Overall - I will definitely return to this one. An excellent beer.

16oz can poured into a tulip

A- pours deep black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that has great retention and leaves some lacing behind

S- nose is a bit muted at first, eventually opens up with aromas of dark fruits and light chocolate. Hints of caramel and anise

T- the dark fruit notes follow the nose, with notes of raisin and fig. Hints of charred malt and chocolate mid-palate, the finish gives more dark fruit

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish

O- easy drinking, but doesn't have the roasted notes that you typically expect from the style

A really nice "Baltic Porter", can definitely feel this one! Perfectly stony, not overly sweet (thank you), with a hint of twangy molasses. At Pies and Pints, on tap, with my Dave!
