As the name suggests it is very dark brown, almost Black in color. It has an aroma of Roasted Coffee and Dark Chocolate, the flavor is roast, and chocolate finished dry and crisp with a faint lingering bitterness. The clean lager crispness is accomplished with Kviek yeast which allowed us to finish it in a lightning fast 9 days from mash to can. Can art by Jana Wolfe.

Taster:
This one has nice chocolate roasty notes to it, but also a little unexpected tang and bite, punching above its ABV.

Nice, beautiful dark caramel brown.
Aroma of roasty malt.
Taste is of a slightly sour essence with definite roast. Leah thinks wet, musty ashtray.
